Professor Aziz Aliyev patircipated at a scientific-practical conference dedicated to World Thyroid Day

On June 20, 2026, a scientific-practical conference dedicated to World Thyroid Day was held at the Yeni Clinic, organized by the Republican Endocrinology Center.
The conference was attended by the country's leading endocrinologists, surgeons,radiologists, and other specialized doctors, who delivered presentations on the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases.

At the event, the surgical oncologist of the Head and Neck Surgery Department of the National Oncology Center and the rector of the Baku branch of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, professor Aziz Aliyev, delivered an extensive report on the topic “The path from endocrinologist to surgeon in the approach to thyroid nodules”. The report presented in detail the indications for the surgical treatment of thyroid nodules, the importance of a multidisciplinary approach and the principles of individualized treatment. Professor Aziz Aliyev emphasized that close cooperation between an endocrinologist, radiologist, pathologist and surgeon in the management of thyroid diseases is one of the main conditions for successful
treatment.
The conference included extensive discussions on modern diagnostic and treatment approaches, and an exchange of experiences among participants.
